Just a quick and easy run to rack up the time. During this base phase I'm focusing on time instead of miles since I hope (and expect) my fitness to improve more than normal due to getting back to pre-baby shape.

I just got off the treadmill (10PM at night!) due to a long day at work and a birthday party. However, I'm glad I did it even though it was hard to get motivated. At least I got another episode of 24 in.

I think I wrenched my back with the medicine ball. This was my first workout with it and I used some exercises I found on the interweb. Probably a list too advanced for my flabby self.

24 is the best show to watch on the treadmill I have found. I got totally wrapped up in it and the time flew by. Good thing there are 24 episodes per season and I'm only on season 3. Snow is falling - my long winter on the treadmill is starting...

Mission Accomplished

No, I did not run a 3:15 marathon quite yet (maybe this Spring?...) However, I did get back to my pre-pregnancy weight today! YAHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got some toning up still to do (ok, a lot of toning on my bowl full of jelly) but I am excited to be back!

2 or so years ago I signed up at seemommyrun.com. The site really wasn't much of anything and I kind of forgot about it. Then last week I got an email that a running group for mommies was starting in my area.

My first run with the group was yesterday. The weather was lousy and it ended up being me and the boys, another mom and her daughter and a mom sans kids. They were all very nice and it was fun running with other mommies. I look forward to meeting more of the group.

The weather continues to rock. I took the boys on an easy run through the 'hood and felt amazing. I love this period between training phases when you can just run for fun.

The weather was perfect today so I took the kids and the double jogger on an adventure to a new park and rails-to-trails path. The temps were great and the scenery beautiful as the leaves were beginning to change. We stopped halfway through for a picnic. Afterwards, we did a mini hike and saw an amazing waterfall.

A great day to be a runner and a great day to be a mommy.
